QUOTES

JADE BUFORD, DRIVER OF THE NO. 48 BIG MACHINE VODKA SPIKED COOLERS CAMARO
“The Roval race has been circled on my calendar since the beginning of the year. With my road course background, it’s one of the tracks I expect to run well at. We had a great run there last year and I’m looking to repeat that. Our team has come a long way this year. We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs, but hopefully we can carry some of the momentum we had at Talladega with the strong run and follow it up with another one on Saturday.”

NOTES

LOOKING FOR SOME MORE ROVAL MAGIC: The Roval at Charlotte Motor Speedway was the site of Jade Buford’s first-ever top-10 finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In 2020, the 33-year-old driver ran a part-time schedule in the series, competing only on road courses. Last October, Buford started back in the 24th position and battled through torrential rains and darkness to score an eighth-place finish.

SEASON UPDATE: Through 28 races in 2021, Big Machine Racing has put together one top-10, four top-15 and 14 top-20 finishes. Buford’s best result came over the summer at Michigan International Speedway. He drove to a ninth-place finish. This past weekend, the team had another strong run with a 12th-place effort at Talladega Superspeedway.

CHEVY APPEARANCE: Ahead of Saturday’s NXS race, Jade Buford, driver of the No. 48 Camaro, will stop by the Team Chevy Display at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a Q&A session at 1:15 p.m. ET.
